SECURITY SWEEP AT CONSTRUCTION SITES
Under the present law, PRINCIPAL contractors are liable for illegal workers found at their worksites.
Employers will no longer be able to use the excuse of defence that they do not know the worker is a foreigner unless they can prove that they have done necessary checks to ensure that the worker had all the proper documentations.
Errant contractors face a fine of S$15,000 to S$30,000 or a jail term of up to 12 months or both. Repeat offendes face a double penalty.

At the request of "Kumagai Gumi Co., Ltd", our company carried out a Security Sweep Operation at the construction site situated at River Valley Road during the dawn hours. The raid resulted in more than 100 illegal foreign workers, some with documents and many more without work permits.
Following the above, which was given wide publicity in the Press and other media, several contractors, including "Four-Seas Construction, etc., engaged our services to carry out SPOT-CHECKS at their work-sites to flush out illegal foreign workers.
Our Task Force specialiazed team of staff, carried out the "RAIDS" with systematic planning and precision, resulting in the detention of considerable number of foreign workers without documents and also workers without valid work permits.
